Daisy's, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, and
their Troop leaders and caregivers are invited to get hands on
experience with in some really cool and crazy science experiments,
related to the field of Biology!
The activity would start with a
discussion of what chemical reactions are and what pH is and then
would move to how chemical reactions and pH are used in the body. Girl
Scouts will participate in a dual experiment; both a color changing
"volcano" and then "elephant toothpaste," which
they will then see how the foam erupts like a volcano!
Before,
During, and after the experiments, Professor Henning will be
explaining what is occurring, why it is occurring, and how this also
occurs in our digestive system.
